In this initial passage about the group that I will continue to refer to on this site as the “anti-Christ Chaldeans,” I thought that it would be best to address them as they are described by several of the Minor Prophets: specifically; Joel, Habukkuk, and Nahum. While I will not go into detail here about the context in which these prophets were writing there can be no denying that they were describing this worldwide criminal cabal as it relates to our current last days time period.
In speaking through the Prophet Joel about the anti-Christ Chaldeans God emphasized several times, “The Day of the Lord is near.” Through Habakkuk, God said that his prophecy is a “revelation for an appointed time.” Finally, the book of Nahum described the Lord’s judgment on Nineveh at the hands of the powerful Assyrians at the time albeit with unmistakable applications for the last days. The Prophet Nahum referred several times to the people of Nineveh as “Judah” or “Jacob” and included references to a final days restoration for Judah and Jacob (i.e. the house of Israel). As a side note, albeit much more important are the following words about how this restoration will happen:
Look, there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace!” (Nah. 1:15)
We know that it is Jesus who will stand on the Mount of Olives when he returns.
Meanwhile, in studying the books of Joel, Habbukuk, and Nahum, we learn the following characteristics about the modern day anti-Christ Chaldean army. The Chaldeans are:
- Created by God
- Numerous and powerful
- A criminal organization
- Aligned against God and God’s people
- Luciferian and occult-driven
I will address each of these characteristics in separate sections below.
They are created by God
In the midst of this cabal’s worldwide assault in the last days God remains sovereign and in control. It is the same pattern that we see throughout scripture when God uses a tool to discipline his disobedient people. Through Habukkuk, God said outright, “I am raising up the Chaldeans” (Hab. 1:6), referring to this end times army. Later, in the same chapter when Habukkuk interceded and asked God for some relief for his people he acknowledged, “O Lord, you have appointed (the Chaldeans) to execute judgment; O Rock you have ordained them to punish” (Hab. 1:12).
This same Babylonian-Chaldean army is also referred to collectively as “locusts.” God said elsewhere in scripture, I will repay you (people of Zion) for the years the locusts have eaten…My great army that I sent among you” (Joel 1:6). Our sovereign God here again emphasized that he is the one who is in control and in charge of this army. We will see below that they are directed to come against his own people in the end times.
They are numerous and powerful
The anti-Christ Chaldeans are a worldwide cabal with an enormous army of members. The Prophet Joel described them as being “without number” (1:6). Through Habakkuk, God foretold that they will “sweep across the whole earth” (Hab. 1:6). Their modern day size and scale is likely partly attributed to a culmination of their various secret societies’ occult oaths and rituals being passed down in families over time, from generation to generation. Their size has also likely been fueled in our current generation by the vast-reaching Internet/darknet network and online methods of “recruiting,” or in some cases “capturing,” people.
The following verses document that this group easily captures and seizes their members:
…Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand. (Hab. 1:9)
The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them up in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet and so he rejoices and is glad. (Hab. 1:15)
Aside from those who willingly join and participate in this cabal the anti-Christ Chaldeans meet very little resistance in their recruiting and criminal efforts due to their intimidation and mafia-style tactics. They have gained tremendous power by the resources they have accumulated, which gives them an ability to “buy off,” bribe, extort, etc. key people in positions of power and thereby infiltrate the most important institutions in societies worldwide. At the same time, their power and tactics can make any potential resistance or problems that arise “go away.”
Nahum in his day described how the Chaldean army in Ninevah “has allies and are numerous” (Nah. 1:12), meaning that during his time they already held a vast network; Nahum later more specifically observed how the Chaldeans had, “increased the number of merchants till they are more than the stars of the sky…” (Nah. 3:16). Here, he was referring to corrupt businesses and business dealings. Indications are the Chaldeans had also infiltrated Ninevah’s government. Nahum observed that its guards were “like locusts” and it’s officials like “swarms of locusts.”
If you have ever wondered why various prophetic scripture (in the books of Revelation, Isaiah, etc.) tell us that kings and leaders will be hiding in caves in the last days it will be because the truth about their political and business activities as part of their membership in this cabal is revealed. (Note: Ninevah is likely a prophetic picture of a particular powerful Babylonian nation(s) here in our last days- any guesses?).
An end times surprise and shock
Likely for centuries, and possibly even for Millennia, the Chaldean army has remained silent and underground. Each member has adhered to their individual, imprisoning and silencing blood oaths up until these last days when they will come out onto the public scene to advance the occult storyline that they believe in and for all to recognize them. Due to this cabal’s enormity in size, power and influence those previously unaware are now awakening and are understandably surprised and astonished. The following verses from the Minor Prophets provide a vivid description of peoples’ reactions to the anti-Christ Chaldeans once they surface in the end times as a “fierce” and “dreaded” worldwide army:
Hearts melt, knees give way, bodies tremble, every face grows pale. (Nah. 2:10)
At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale- they charge like warriors…they scale walls like soldiers… (Joel 2:6-7)
They are a feared and dreaded people…their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk… (Hab. 1:7-8)
Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes, before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them a desert waste- nothing escapes them… (Joel 2:3)
They are a criminal organization
The anti-Christ Chaldeans are essentially an organized crime cabal with a vast worldwide “mob” of soldiers who blend into everyday life. But they secretly assist in setting-up and covering-up the most serious crimes in our society. These crimes include but are certainly not limited to: stealing, large-scale theft and larceny; human trafficking; drug trafficking; extortion; money laundering; racketeering; etc. It is important to note that they are not an army in the sense of a conventional military, but rather in terms of their criminal activities that violate people’s rights and destroy their lives. Minor Prophets tell us the following:
Plunder the silver, plunder the gold! The supply is endless, the wealth from all its treasures!” She is pillaged, plundered, stripped! (Nah. 2:9-10)
They rush upon the city, they run along the wall, they climb into houses; like thieves they enter through the windows. (Joel 2:9)
When various Bible stories refer to peoples’ oppression and their resulting cries for justice they are many times referring to this cabal’s organized and coordinated criminal activities against their households or their entire societies. True justice is many times seen as being “far away” because the effectiveness of law enforcement and the courts is greatly hampered as a result of this cabal’s power and its infiltration of these institutions. This is why the Lord says, “They are a law to themselves” (Hab. 1:7).
They are aligned against God and God’s people
As described above, God himself sends this cabal after his own people in the last days at a time prior to pouring out his wrath upon the world. The anti-Christ Chaldeans are a tool of judgment used by God as a result of his people’s disobedience. They are the primary force responsible for the last days destruction of God’s vine, wine, fig tree, harvest, etc. The following selected verses from the Minor Prophets illustrate this:
…destroyers have laid them (Jacob- i.e. tribes) waste and have ruined their vines. (Nah. 2:2)
All your fortresses are like fig trees with their ripe fruit; when they are shaken, the figs fall into the mouth of the eater. (Nah. 3:12)
…grieve for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field is destroyed…the vine is dried up and the fig tree has withered… (Joel 1:11-12)
When truth is ultimately revealed, we may find that there has been a secret, behind-the-scenes, ongoing holocaust against God’s people over a long period of time. At the very least, we will find the extent to which they have been oppressed and in bondage as a result of the Chaldeans.
God’s people targeted
It is apparent in scripture that the anti-Christ Chaldeans have identified, scattered, tracked and targeted God’s people from ancient days. It is likely that certain house of Israel tribe bloodlines have attracted heightened attention due to their obvious significance in terms of God’s covenants with his people. A couple of representative verses in scripture from the Minor Prophets considered for this passage include:
Her infants were dashed to pieces at the head of every street. Lots were cast for her nobles, and all her great men were put in chains. (Nah. 3:10)
…they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine that they might drink… (Joel 3:3)
As I’ve described in prior passages, while God’s people have certainly been victims, they have also been a big part of the problem by joining themselves as members of this oppressor-enemy. God’s peoples’ own membership in this cabal is a major reason for his last days judgment. Sadly, God is speaking to his own people when he says, “You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life” (Hab. 2:10). Membership in and enslavement to this anti-Christ criminal cabal will be a primary reason that many of God’s people are blinded to receiving the truth of Jesus Christ and therefore do not receive salvation in the last days.
They are luciferian and occult-driven
It is not surprising that this massive criminal cabal that pursues and destroys God’s people (the houses of Israel and Judah) is luciferian in its beliefs and practices. The Chaldeans are merely continuing and perpetuating the spiritual battle between good and evil that we know originally began in the Garden. This cabal is led by world rulers and captains of industry whose incredible wealth and power has been established largely via the activities of this crime organization.
Its cabal’s associated Satanic rituals and idols fool some into believing that their own success is a result of their own skill and self-empowered nature indicated as follows:
(he) burns incense to his dragnet. (Hab. 1:16)
…(they are) guilty men, whose own strength is their god. (Hab. 1:11)
Chaldean world leaders will put their powerful influence and support behind a last days script and storyline that they believe is part of their own control and planning but that we as Christ-believers know is merely our sovereign God’s plan for the end times from before the beginning of time. This is summed up in David’s Psalm:
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. (Ps. 2:1-4)
As discussed in scripture, a global government and global economy will be established as part of a new world order. There will be a huge deception in that the people of the world will believe that this system will actually deliver an age of peace, unity and utopia. Those who are already deceived by this worldwide system will be highly receptive as they see their Satanic occult rituals, practices, idols and symbolism that they have long-worshiped coming fully into the public view on the world stage.
In speaking through our minor prophets examined for this passage, God told us about the fate of those who engage in this kind of idol worship. The Chaldean world system, which is built on lies and numerous idols, will come crashing down. Ancient Nineveh is a picture of this as described in the first couple of verses below:
Woe to the city of blood (Ninevah), full of lies, full of plunder, never without victims; …all because of the wanton lust of a harlot, alluring, the mistress of sorceries, who enslaved nations by her prostitution and peoples by her witchcraft. (Nah. 3:1,4)
I (God) will destroy the carved images and the cast idols that are in the temple of your gods, I will prepare your grave, for you (Ninevah) are vile.” (Nah. 1:14)
Of what value is an idol since a man carved it? Or an image that teaches lies? For he who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak. (Hab. 2:18)
As Christians know, false gods and idols are nothing more than an intricate web of deceit that will fall apart and come tumbling down on its own. We can pray that many people during the upcoming Day of the Lord and God’s wrath on the earth will awaken and call for saving grace only available through Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, God’s judgments on this luciferian people and their plan will deal very heavy and final blows to their network’s figurative reattempted construction of a Tower of Babel-like system in the last days.

In conclusion, we know that Jesus said this about Satan- “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy” (Jn. 10:10). Satan’s methodology is an intricate web of lies (i.e. the “father of lies”), accusations and a criminal system of “no talking” so that all dialogue is controlled and truth and justice is suppressed. The anti-Christ Chaldean army discussed above is Satan’s army that accomplishes all of these things.
There are numerous facets to completely understanding this end times Chaldean army and the practical implications. As just one example, do you see where the control of our current day church comes from and why the church heavily contributes to the last days apostasy?
