The Last Days ‘Jacob army’

Since I just recently completed a passage describing the evil adversary in the last days kingdom war- the anti-Christ Chaldeans- I will now turn to address in more detail God’s holy warrior army of servants who will directly confront this adversary. On this site, thus far, I have referred to these servant-warriors collectively as the ‘Jacob army.’

Intro and background

First, recall that world Babylon’s Chaldeans are the adversary that destroys God’s creation. The Chaldeans are massive in scale, encompassing leaders and multitudes of oath-takers across the world. They include Israel’s own wayward people and Gentiles alike, along with their rulers, leaders and their respective Gentile armies (sometimes termed “riders on horses”). Among numerous “nations” involved are those ancient peoples and people groups who are Israel’s perennial enemies, including Edom, Moab, the Philistines the Ammonites, etc. These same groups assist in perpetuating the worldwide kingdom war against the Lord and his faithful servants to this day.

While using the ancient war narrative, Satan has accumulated multitudes of minions across the earth as part of his massive army who are pledged to secrecy and silence. They are organized crime, united and bound by a secret oath and operating via backdoor communications. Collectively, they wield enormous power. As I described in my last passage, they use their unfair advantage to hide ugly truths about their oppressive, criminal activities and also perpetuate a false, occult-based, social engineering narrative in entire societies that has caused great deception of people worldwide.

God promises the “portion of Jacob” and his ‘Jacob army,’ whom he directs, that they will prevail in their end times, unconventional spiritual war against the Chaldeans. In doing so, the massive scale of the Chaldean “mob” will be made clear along with the scope of this war. In scripture, God reminds us that his small, select army will defeat and “break in pieces” the following:

kingdoms; nations; the horse and its rider; chariots and charioteers (representing conventional armies); men and women; old men and youth; and the young man and the maid; the shepherd and his flock; the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and the captains and rulers. (Jer. 51:20-23)

Clearly, this will be a comprehensive, worldwide war. And although Israel and the Middle East region has been the primary geographic focal point, for obvious reasons, it is ‘Babylon’-U.S., also called the “land of the Chaldeans” (Jer. 50:25), that is a key initial staging ground for this kingdom war. I have explained prior on this site that ‘Babylon’-U.S. includes Israel’s last days ‘northern kingdom’ within. It is also where God’s holy, “small flock” remnant army largely resides and where the kingdom adversary and its two primary leaders, the ‘Assyrian’ and a king of (last days) ‘Babylon,’ have particularly strong ties.

We are told that through his ‘Jacob army’ that God “sets a standard upon the wall of Babylon” (Jer. 51:17). This is a standard or signal to the world about Chaldean oppression and lawlessness that essentially communicates God’s message, “Consider yourself warned!”

In the countries of Israel and ‘Babylon’-U.S., especially, God allows the Chaldean “mob” and their leaders in the last days to punish his rebellious, disobedient people and to prune his vineyard. However, it is clear in scripture that there is a point at which God is satisfied that his people have endured sufficient discipline and then he turns his wrath back to the wicked kingdom adversary that has been none-too-happy and prideful to decimate the Lord’s servants.

God’s vengeance is shown many times in scripture during this last days time period in which we are told that he is accomplishing his “purpose,” particularly against ‘Babylon’ and its Chaldeans. His purpose will serve to shame and put down the Chaldean’s oppressive leaders and bring darkness into light so that Christ’s humble, faithful believers may be redeemed, saved and exalted.

The ‘Jacob army’ – God’s holy warriors

In scripture, we learn that the Lord’s ‘Jacob army’-Judah “small flock” remnant are early recipients of God’s wrath against his people as a refining process; they are the initial ones are “chosen in the furnace of affliction” (Is. 48:10). They are taken captive and heavily persecuted by the anti-Christ Chaldeans. But these are his holy, faithful, royal, and righteous remnant who I have described previously remain “left of the sword.” God then gives them supernatural power to fight back and become a significant part of defeating the Chaldean enemy to accomplish his purpose above.

In the midst of their battle God will give them supernatural power to fight back and become a significant part of defeating the anti-Christ spirit kingdom enemy. They are the ones about whom we are told in scripture will possess faith to “move a mountain” and to: “trample on scorpions” (Lk. 10:19); “tread down the wicked” (Mal. 4:3); and “tread upon the lion and the cobra” (Ps. 91:13). Along these lines the following is God’s strong promise to them:

Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. (Jer. 30:16)

Previously on this site, I showed how the Lord will arise on behalf of ‘Jacob’s “small flock” remnant and fight for them. We are told that, “The hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies” (Is. 66:14). In other prophetic scripture this remnant itself is directly associated with the Lord’s fighting army when they are referred to in verses such as the Lord’s “troop on earth” (Am. 9:6) and his “camp (that) is great.”

For this remnant’s battles the Lord answers their prayers when they are in trouble and gives them tremendous power to fight back. ‘Jacob’ and his unconventional “army” are described as weapons of God’s “armory” and “indignation” in relation to their resistance against Chaldean-infested and controlled ‘Babylon’-U.S. in the last days. This remnant’s might is further described as follows:

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. (Mic. 5:8)

The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. (Mic. 7:16)

God will clearly give this remnant army supernatural power to fight back in their individual battles as well as collectively for his Kingdom. The following verse from Israel’s ancient days is a good example of and clear precedent for the effects of this power that God will give to this very small last days holy army who will be able to chase away their enemy’s minions:

One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill. (Is. 30:17)

Only by God’s supernatural power and rescue on their behalf will the ‘Jacob’-Judah “small flock” army emerge as victors in the last days. They will be beneficiaries of the Apostle Paul’s words, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Cor. 10:4). The Psalmist observed about the adversary’s coming supernatural defeat, “How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors” (Ps. 73:19). You might recall here the example of Jesus casting out devils that then went into the nearby swine causing all of them to run off of a cliff.

God conquers through his last days servants to show the world that it is he only who is God. He will do this at the hands of his anointed remnant for his own glory. Their victory and subsequent deliverance from the lion’s mouth of ‘Babylon’-U.S. in the last days spiritual kingdom war will be evident.

Contents of this passage

In the remainder of this passage, I will address the ‘Jacob army’ in more detail according to the following components:

  • Interrelation of members
  • Jacob
  • Judah
  • Ephraim

After discussing the interrelatedness of the ‘Jacob army’s members, I will look at each individually. In doing so, I will consider historical precedent of their predecessors’ battles on behalf of Israel and then will show what prophetic scripture tells us about their involvement and roles as part of the last days unconventional army.

Interrelation of members

Prior to discussing each of the major components and peoples of the ‘Jacob army,’ it makes sense to establish them through scripture along with their interrelatedness. Although the following verse likely refers to individual members, collectively they represent this army’s major components; namely, ‘Jacob,’ ‘Judah’ and ‘Ephraim,’ which are discussed herein. We read:

And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. (Hos. 10:11-12)

In terms of interrelatedness, we might consider original Jacob who was a Patriarch and father of the 12 tribes. Similarly, end times ‘Jacob’ becomes a sort of father to the 12 tribes including “sons of Jacob.” In fact, end times ‘Jacob’ is a compilation of many biblical characters. Not surprisingly, he has the broadest role in God’s last days fighting army, a role that naturally overlaps with Judah and ‘Ephraim,’ discussed herein, which carry the scepter and birthright promises, respectively. End times ‘Jacob’ may possess several bloodlines to complement his role. I have shown previously that he comes from the “waters of Judah” for at least part of his heritage.

Next, while ‘Ephraim’ has a small representation in the ‘Jacob army,’ Ephraim as a whole only comes to its spiritual birthing later in the Day of the Lord. You may recall from a prior passage on this site that it is the holy, righteous ‘Jacob’-Judah remnant versus the world anti-Christ Chaldeans at the beginning of this end times kingdom war. Unfortunately, just like the country of Israel’s own leaders and people, ‘Ephraim’ in ‘Babylon’-U.S. is largely on the wrong side of this war versus their anointed remnant’s brethren. The following describes the end times state of ‘Ephraim’ as a proxy for Israel’s last days ‘northern kingdom’ prior to their awakening:

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. (Is. 9:21)

Once ‘Ephraim’ awakens, likely in the Day of the Lord, they will begin to seek the Lord in more significant fashion. Meanwhile, the following verses show the righteous component of ‘Ephraim’ (and ‘house of Joseph’) who are in the ‘Jacob army’ that join with their ‘Jacob’-Judah remnant brethren after they become aware that they are also targets of Chaldean powers in the time of “Jacob’s trouble”:

When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. (Zech. 9:13)

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them…And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine… (Zech. 10:6-7)

And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame… (Ob. 18)

In the last verse, which points to the rejoining of Joseph (Ephraim) and Jacob, you might might recall here another verse about this time period which says, “And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame” (Is. 10:17). It appears that end times ‘Jacob’ and his house is the fire and that Joseph/Ephraim is the flame in this kingdom war. Original Jacob and Ephraim were, in a way, both “spiritual” firstborns; this points to their spiritual awakening during the last days kingdom war, and perhaps their membership and partnership in the core of God’s holy ‘Jacob army.’

Finally, interestingly, consider that it was Joshua and Caleb of the tribes of Ephraim and Judah, respectively, in Moses’ day, who had spied out the land of inheritance and were the only faithful ones retained and chosen by God in their generation to enter the land with the next generation of tribes. They were rewarded for their faith and courage. Modern-day versions of Joshua and Caleb representing Ephraim and Judah are likely again among God’s faithful ‘Jacob army’ remnant. It is a remnant that will not bow down to Babylon and will have a role in defeating the Chaldeans.

‘Jacob’

In considering the house of ‘Jacob’s role as part of the Lord’s last days fighting army that engages in the unconventional spiritual kingdom war we might first consider original Jacob from ancient days. His battle then was for his soul, a battle that was spiritual in nature. His battle was one to retain his birthright and keep his life versus his brother-turned-adversary. He showed tremendous faith, won God’s love and won power by wrestling with an angel of God. Upon prevailing God gave him the new name, ‘Israel.’

You may also recall Balaam the seer’s ancient visions that he relayed to Moab’s King Balak instead of cursing Israel as he had been asked to do. In Balaam’s visions he prophetically foresaw an end times ‘Jacob’ being blessed by God. Insight from Balaam’s prophetic visions (Book of Numbers, Chapters 23 and 24) included seeing last days ‘Jacob’s unusual strength in battle as:

  • (Having the) strength of a unicorn
  • Eating up the nations as his enemies
  • Breaking (his enemies’) bones and piercing them through with his arrows
  • Destroying him that remaineth in the city (likely referring to a significant Chaldean foe)
  • (Lifting himself up as a) young lion to his prey

Additional prophetic scripture that I offer below corroborates that God will give ‘Jacob’ strength and weapons to use in his personal, unconventional ‘David-versus-Goliath’-type battle versus the anti-Christ Chaldeans in the last days. Those in his remnant will likely benefit from these same weapons of supernatural origin.

Last days ‘Jacob’ in the ‘Jacob army’

End times ‘Jacob’ is the captain of the ‘Jacob army,’ house of Jacob, “sons of Jacob,” etc., and eventually the larger house of Israel that is regathered and returns to the holy land. As I alluded to above, he has the broadest role in the ‘Jacob army’ as the name of this army would suggest. His own fighting and the outcome of their battle will serve as a light to the Gentiles of the world and as a personal sacrifice and atonement for his people, Israel.

As an individual member, but as a symbol for all of those in the ‘Jacob army,’ end times ‘Jacob’ we know from scripture is given the strength of a unicorn in his fight. This allows him to “pierce” his enemies and rise as a “young lion” to his prey. Referring to ‘Jacob’s own war in ‘Babylon’-U.S., one that develops into a worldwide kingdom war, God prophetically describes the outcome of his battle as a result of the power that he gives ‘Jacob’:

when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. (Is. 27:9)

Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. (Is. 41:15-16)

If you were wondering more specifically about a modern-day culmination of and an outcome to ‘Jacob’s battle from ancient times versus his brother Esau, prophetic scripture from Obadiah in addition to that given earlier in this passage tells us about the final fate of one of Israel’s primary adversaries and rivals, ‘Esau,’ in these last days:

And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it. (Ob. 18)

Of course, end times ‘Jacob’ has plenty of help. The Lord himself is in the battle in these last days. (See my prior passages on this site entitled, The Lord’s Spirit is with us). In summary, altogether, the original Jacob’s blessing from God in ancient days can be seen as carrying all the way through to end times ‘Jacob’ and his ‘Jacob army’ in their last days battle.

Judah

It is not surprising that we find a Judah remnant among the last days ‘Jacob army,’ even as its primary component. Today’s Judah remnant carries its warrior traits forward from the days of old.

At the time when the original Patriarch Jacob gathered his sons and told them about what would befall them in the last days, he referred to Judah as a lion’s whelp rising from the prey and also told him, “Thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies…” (Gen. 49:8). Years later, when Moses offered his final blessings to the tribes, he asked the Lord to help Judah from his enemies.

Judah historically is among the first in battle. As a tribe on the east side of the Tabernacle, it is in first position. After Joshua died, the Israelites in the land asked the Lord who should go up and fight against the Canaanites first. The Lord simply responded, ‘Judah,’ and said furthermore that he had already delivered the land into Judah’s hand. Judah then went and conquered Jerusalem and slew Canaanites throughout the land.

Of course, we know of King David’s exploits a short time later, and how as a righteous God-led warrior, his armies conquered many peoples so that Judah/Israel in his time took back much of their God-given territory.

Last days Judah in the Jacob army‘David

The tribe of Judah and its Davidic line in particular appear to be pre-destined for righteous battle. It is apparent that a Judah remnant is again the first in battle in these end times in the unconventional war of righteousness versus the iniquity and wickedness of the anti-Christ Chaldeans. As shown in the earlier verse, God’s ‘Portion of Jacob’ remnant are referred to as his “battle axe” and weapons for war. Jesus, of course, is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. It could be that the end times Son of man or Spirit of truth who I discuss herein has Judah tribal roots, but this is unclear. It is possible that he is the last days “lion” who “leaves his thicket,” “forsakes his covert,” and about whom we are told catches enough prey for his whelps.

‘David’ and ‘Jacob’s last days Judah-centric “small flock” remnant are comprised of “conquerors” and redeemers on behalf of ‘Israel’s remnant who will serve as Jesus’ Light for the Gentiles. They will arise to battle at a time when persecution of God’s vineyard is underway and being stripped, suffering famine, etc. as was the case for Israel in King David’s descendent Zerubbabel’s day of constructing the second temple. Last days Israel will again be both spiritually and literally starved as well as heavily oppressed at the hands of the worldwide anti-Christ Chaldeans led by nations’ evil rulers, elected and unelected. I described earlier that the Chaldeans have systematically targeted, persecuted and deceived Israel over the course of generations. They have “trampled” God’s vineyard and “pleasant field.”

End times ‘David’s own battle is not only one for his soul and his life; it is a battle that represents and is on behalf of God’s people, ‘Israel.’ About this battle, in the prophetic example of Zerubbabel we find a couple of clues about ‘David’ who will fit the role of a warrior in the last days spiritual kingdom war versus the adversary. This is demonstrated by what an angel of the Lord said through the Prophet Zechariah:

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain. (Zech. 4:7)

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven… (Zech. 4:10)

In the first verse above the term “mountain” may refer to last days anti-Christ Chaldean rulers and powers also referred to by God as a “destroying mountain” (Jer. 51:25) that are eventually defeated in the last days spiritual kingdom war in which God sets righteousness as the “plummet.” ‘David’ and ‘Jacob’s remnant are the ones who demonstrate “faith as a mustard seed” as Jesus described would be necessary to move such a mountain. The second verse refers to their very small remnant versus this massive, highly organized spiritual kingdom adversary.

Consistent with the strength given to ‘Jacob’ we are told in the book of Zechariah that this small Judah-centric remnant will eventually come to be “like God.” God assures them to “fear not” and proclaims, “So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah” (Zech. 8:15). The following verse shows the immense power given by God to Judah in their role as his “goodly horse” in the midst of their involvement in the end times spiritual kingdom war:

…for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together. And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded… (Zech. 10:3-5)

It will be ‘Jacob’s Judah-centric remnant including some from the house of David who are first out of the gate once again in battling the anti-Christ Chaldeans in the last days unconventional, behind-the-scenes spiritual kingdom war. The “banner” that they will raise has special significance and importance. The following verses are given in an end times context referring to this “banner” or “standard.” These warn of coming war against the nation of ‘Babylon’-U.S.:

Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not…her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. (Jer. 50:2)

Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the Lord hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon. (Jer. 51:12)

Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers… (Jer. 51:27)

End times ‘David’ will apparently light a very large fire in the land of ‘Babylon’-U.S. The resulting chaos and unrest will signal weakness and bring on conventional-style war against the land. In their deliverance out of the theater of this war ‘David’ and the “small flock” remnant will be rewarded by God for their faith and walking with him during the last days period of anti-Christ Chaldean-caused “idolatrous commotion” and its associated chaos and strife.

Last days Judah in the Jacob army- the ‘Daughter of Zion’

Given all of the associations of the ‘Daughter of Zion’ with Jerusalem, the Lord’s holy hill, the temple, the royal remnant, etc. we might rightly assume that she is affiliated with the tribe of Judah. For these reasons along with the fact that both David and she are referred to in scripture as the “apple of God’s eye” she may even be a member of the last days house of David.

In the book of Isaiah the Lord himself reminds the ‘Daughter of Zion’ of his sovereignty and the fact that she has his divine protection in the midst of her own personal battle. As one who is a key member of his coming heavenly Kingdom we are told that the ‘Daughter of Zion enjoys the “heritage of the servants of the Lord.” God says to her:

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. (Is. 54:17)

Not only will the ‘Daughter of Zion’ be protected in the last days spiritual kingdom war but God’s Word tells us that she will be given power by the Lord to fight back against her anti-Christ Chaldean foe. Through the Prophet Micah the Lord says:

Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people. (Mic. 4:13)

You may rightly wonder how a single woman will be part of an army that destroys entire “nations” in the last days. But I explained earlier in this chapter and on several other occasions to this point about God’s supernatural assistance that this remnant receives in their unconventional battle.

Ephraim

In this section, as I did with ‘Jacob’ and Judah above, I will first look at Ephraim in historical context as it relates to fighting in battle. When considering original Jacob’s words to his sons as to what would befall them in the last days and then Moses’ last words to the tribes, we can see what they pledged for Joseph as a possible prophetic clue for ‘Ephraim.’ Tremendous kingdom blessings and inheritance were promised to Joseph. Otherwise, as these relate specifically to warfare we see the following in scripture:

The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel). (Gen. 49:23-24)

His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth… (Deut. 33:17)

You can see that both of these promises prophetically point to a loose association and overlap with fellow end times remnant member, ‘Jacob,’ who represents a compilation of biblical characters. ‘Jacob’ is given the strength of a unicorn (Num. 24:8). Also, it is ‘Jacob’ who atones for and “raises up” the tribes of Israel similar to Joseph “pushing” them together as shown above. In his Word God refers to both ‘Israel’ (Jacob) and ‘Ephraim’ as (spiritual) “firstborns” who were in a sense “greater” younger brothers. Of course, Jesus became the firstborn holy son of God’s entire heavenly Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Joseph’s own personal life was in many ways a ‘picture’ of the ‘Jacob’-Judah “small flock” remnant’s story in the last days spiritual kingdom war in that he was: rejected by his own; persecuted; taken captive; and then finally given strength by God to prevail and be delivered in his personal battle. This led to the saving and redemption of many others in a time of worldwide famine including those in his own father’s (Jacob’s) house. His initial rejection by his own family combined with ultimately contributing to the wide scale saving of lives also made him an early foreshadowing ‘type’ of Jesus.

In further considering the historical house of Joseph as it relates to battle recall that centuries after the original patriarchs that it was Joshua of Ephraim, the courageous spy mentioned above, who then led Israel and its fighting men into the land to successfully defeat many enemies and their armies. After Joshua died, however, Ephraim as a tribe had a pattern of frequently being left out of battles fought on behalf of Israel. In the time of the Judges they were left out of the battle that Gideon fought. They were again left out when Jephthah went to war against the Ammonites because they did not respond when Jephthah initially approached them. Also recall that when the original house of David split from Saul due to a longstanding adversarial relationship and war Ephraim followed Saul. Then, shortly thereafter, Jeroboam of Ephraim continued this split when he departed from Solomon’s son Rehoboam. This act perpetuated this ongoing war against Judah that existed “all of their days.”

Last days Ephraim in the ‘Jacob army’

I already mentioned above that Ephraim as a whole comes to the battle late and only rejoins the remnant after its awakening in the Day of the Lord when they come to a realization that their anti-Christ Chaldean associations are actually their enemy. Up until this point, ‘Ephraim’s people will have had strong ties with and will have been strongly influenced by their alliances with the anti-Christ Chaldeans. (Note: This is explained in more detail in the book of Hosea and previously on this site). Meanwhile, due to being misled and misinformed, ‘Ephraim’ remains blinded for a time and develops a jealousy and envy of its brethren, especially of last days royal Judah. This is a replay of the historical Ephraim-versus-Judah conflict that I have referred to previously on this site.

Even with that precedent, we must keep in mind the following things about ‘Ephraim,’ overall: 1) ‘Ephraim’ (‘Joseph’) inherits tremendous kingdom blessings (described above); 2) A faithful ‘Ephraim’ remnant eventually comes around, largely returns and reunites with Judah in the last days; 3) ‘Ephraim’ does have a small component that is among the initial righteous ‘Jacob army,’ which are God’s firstfruits holy children in the last days.

As for ‘Ephraim’s part among the righteous ‘Jacob army’ we are not given a lot of detail in scripture but we know the following about the last days house of Joseph, some of which I have alluded to earlier in this passage. As part of the ‘Jacob army,’ this tribe:

  • (House of Joseph) is a “burning flame” (Ob. 18)
  • is an “arrow in the bow of Judah” (Zech. 9:13)
  • “is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn” (Hos. 10:11)
  • shall become like a “mighty man” (Zech. 10:7)
  • shall subdue with sling stones (Zech. 9:14)
  • is the strength and covering (helmet) of (God’s) head (Ps. 60:7, Ps. 140:7)

So as you can see a small, select portion of ‘Ephraim’ will be a very important and significant segment of the last days fighting “small flock” army prior to the larger tribe’s eventual spiritual awakening, regathering and return to the land along with the greater house of Israel. Recall that it will be the two sticks of Ephraim and Judah that are in the hand of the Son of man that will be joined thereby symbolizing the remnant of Israel becoming one again under one king, a Davidic Prince who will serve Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, in his Millennial Kingdom’s reign. I describe the return to the Kingdom of Israel’s remnant and believing Gentiles in my books, Biblical End Times, Volumes 1 and 2.

~

In summary, it is clear that the last days ‘Jacob army’ and their unconventional battle and spiritual warfare against the anti-Christ Chaldeans is a big step prior to Jesus returning to defeat and destroy the beast kingdom at the end of the age. All of the glory goes to Jesus Christ.

Grace & Peace,
